Shirt: Unique Thrift ($2.50)

For films, one often has to bring in their own clothes as options for costumes. My character was described as "18, still in high school, ready to start college, artsy, a little bit hipster, finding herself." I found out I had quite a lot of outfits that could fit that description; a heaping laundry basket full, in fact. My clothes really only had one problem-too many patterns. And patterns can be find on film, but a lot of my patterns are just too...'pattern-y.' This is actually a very good thing to know for future reference. I know which shirts I should leave behind so my laundry basket isn't quite as full as it was yesterday, and I know what kind of things I should be looking for when I inevitably go out thrift shopping again. I wore this shirt today because I brought it in as an option, and it was just a bit too quirky for my character. But I kept seeing it in the basket and wanted to wear it so badly!
